When I was in Richmond I always went here for the full meals. In the nights the Kal dosai and black eyed peas. I like the place. Briyani is decent too. Takes some time I guess but I m happy
Great authentic south Indian food, very friendly staff.
If you are biryani person and like it super spicy, you must try it here and they've other good indian non-veg options as well. The biryani is close to hyderabadi biryani you can get in Richmond area. Environment is not great if you are looking for decent experience but good if you ignore everything but food. Full bar is available.
The Indian food bursts with flavor in every bite. Authentic Indian with bone-in meat, so good. Will stop here every time I'm in the area!

Amazing food. I've had to google the name of most of the dishes, that's how unique and authentic it is! Mostly southern Indian, with some Chinese influence, spicy.
Updating my review after recent renovations. Love the food and the many options provided. Most importantly, it's authentically true to the flavors of South and the consistency in flavors has really stayed the same for past few years. Our favorites are chicken curry, parotta, idiappam, any biryani, goat roast, mango Lassi and the lunch/weekend brunch offerings are outstanding!
We recently moved from NewYork to Richmond, VA- we checked out few Indian restaurants in the area, found this gem of a place thru few recommendations- great food, the restaurant is closed for in dining due to renovations got take out- we got some snacks with tea while we waited for the food. Awesome food!!! Will definitely recommend others and will be going there regularly. 😊👍🏽
So this little secret place is hands down one of the best burgers and phillys I've had since I moved here 4 years ago. Convinced work to order and they loved it too. We will be ordering again!

Got a bacon cheeseburger! It’s really hard to eat being pregnant but I was able to eat my whole meal and it was delicious! Baby had no complaints. 10/10 would definitely keep coming back
Market cafe is my go to place for Indian food and Biryani is available almost any time. Recently, I have celebrated my daughter's birthday at Market Cafe and I am very glad to do that. They serve varieties of Indian dishes including chat items and pizzas. All the guests liked the food especially ulavacharu biryani. They have ample parking space and also space to setup bouncy house for kids to play. Overall, it is one stop place for all party needs - party hall, delicious indian food with pizza for kids, bouncy house accommodation and great for parking.
Great place for casual dine-in & takeout. Their new menu, which includes South Indian Thali & Curry point are good. Nice restaurant for South Indian style food.
Very Good for indian food at Richmond. Best for fish grill, shrimp pepper fry, Biriyani, parotta with chicken curry, seas food thali . Due to this Covid they are only available for pickup now and the pickup window is located as a drive through behind their restaurant.
A great place to dine for evening Indian snacks and masala tea !! A must try and the prices are affordable 👍👍👍👍👍
The American side is definitely on point got the the Philly cheese steak an it was amazing had to come back after work an grab another for the road

I can say for sure they serve the best south indian food with authentic taste in Richmond. Only advice to the management is to use paper to-go bowls instead of plastic ones for hot items like sambhar and aloo sabji, or atleast give an option to the customers to choose from one if cost is a concern. Thanks for going with paper togo boxes for all other items. Highly recommend this place.
